STAND For the Coast

Posted: Nov 1, 2012

Tracing the interwoven stories of an aboriginal high school class building stand-up paddleboards, a solo expedition by stand-up paddler Norm Hann and the surfing of Tofino native Raph Bruhwiler, STAND is an upcoming documentary that looks at the people, landscapes and wildlife that would be affected by an oil spill on the B.C. coast. Presented by Quiksilver Waterman and produced by Anthony Bonello and Nicolas Teichrob, it's slated for release in April 2013. The teaser is above, and it looks beautiful. They're currently raising funds through IndieGoGo to complete post-production—if you're interested in helping to protect our coastline by donating to the project, you can do so here.
