A Journey to the Great Bear

Posted: Dec 6, 2011

Earlier this year, Arran and Reid Jackson traveled to British Columbia's Great Bear Rainforest to surf and explore one of the world's most ecologically sensitive wilderness areas. The Great Bear is currently a focus of national and international attention due to its proximity to the proposed Northern Gateway Pipeline, a project that would lead to a massive increase in oil tanker traffic on the Canadian coast. Here's a 20-minute documentary about the trip, directed by Ben Gulliver and produced by Rene Gauthier and Michael Reid. For more, visit pacificwild.org.
