Dave Rastovich isn't a conventional surfer, and Minds in the Water isn't a conventional surf film. A feature-length documentary that focuses on Rasta's efforts for marine cetacean conservation, it's a true and powerful tale about how the sport can connect us to something much greater than ourselves. Sanuk and Surfrider are presenting a screening of the film this coming Thursday in Vancouver, and the director, Justin Krumb, will be on hand for a Q&A session afterwards. If you're a Vancouver local or in town for KnowShow, it's not one to be missed.
