The fickle East Coast surf didn't quite deliver for last weekend's all-women's surf gathering at Lawrencetown Beach in Nova Scotia, but it sounds like warm hearts and good spirits won the day. Joanna Majcherkiewicz from Roxy sent over a few photos and a report:
"The SANS Surf Day drew 32 girls—the event was capped at 30 to ensure a good coach-to-surfer ratio—who, for many, were experiencing surfing for the first time. The swell didn't reciprocate the enthusiasm and remained flat (but friendly) whereas the rain and wind picked up (not friendly). A few jokes were exchanged about the weather and that this was a 'weeder course' but the girls didn't seem affected and were all smiles, and the locally made organic chocolate brownies kept the smiles there. The SANS Surf Day presented by Roxy would like to thank the Surf Association of Nova Scotia, Roxy Canada, East Coast Surf School, One Life Surf School, Kannon Beach Surf Shop, Local Source Foods and everyone who came out to get salty."

Good times in the countryside.

All smiles.
