Six months ago, Quiksilver announced a video contest for Canadian surf shops. Called Frozen Moments, the shops were tasked with filming and producing a short video featuring shop staff and team riders, with the winning team scoring a trip to the Tatchu Adventures lodge on Nootka Island.
The contest wrapped on June 1st, and Quiksilver will be screening the final entries in Victoria and Tofino this weekend. The videos from Storm, Live to Surf, HtO and Kannon Beach will be shown alongside the premiere of Quik's new surf film "No Agenda" on a 30-foot outdoor screen.
The Victoria screening is on Saturday the 23rd at Canoe Brewpub on the harbour. Check all the details on the event page here.
The Tofino screening is on Sunday the 24th in the Live to Surf parking lot. All the details are here.
The trailer for No Agenda is here.
Good food, good drink and good action from some hometown heroes on screen. If you're on the Island, be sure to mark this coming weekend on your calendar.
ps: Transportation by foot, skate, bike or carpool is encouraged.
